Alison Crowther MA RCA: Anatomy of a Tree

Anatomy of a Tree is Alison Crowther’s first solo show with the New Art Centre and will show a collection of her recent work on a range of scales.
Carving from naturally felled local timber, Crowther creates works that follow the natural growth lines of wood and accentuate its unique features. Fusing geometry and improvisation, her forms become compelling representations of our connection to the nature that surrounds us.
Part of the exhibition showcases a collection of brooches designed as a collaboration between Alison Crowther and jewellery designer, Lucy Anderson.
